Stephen
"When 14 years old, I did a report on Ansel Adams for a High School project. I was so enthralled with Adams and his style of photography that I asked my parents for a camera for Christmas. Well, thinking I just wanted to "snap" a few pictures, they promptly game me an Olympus 110. Not exactly what I expected and trying not to sound ungrateful, I made a deal with my Mother. I would return everything I got for gifts, if I could use the money to buy my own camera outfit. I was told I could and immediately set out and returned everything and purchased my first setup...a Rollei SL35M R. I have been in love with everything photographic ever since."- Stephen

Stephen has been shooting now for over 30 years. His style is very strongly influenced by Ansel Adams with the same dedication to editing. He is often heard to remark about Adams comment that..."a great photograph is 10% shooting and 90% darkroom"...times have changed and now the darkroom tends to be computers and software.

Stephen is the "candids" side of weddings. He is a master of capturing life at it's "real" moments. He also is a master of portfolios and loves shooting with young aspiring models, helping them lay out their first portfolios and coaching them in the art. Some of his background includes shooting for NBA Live (Detroit Piston's Post Game), the DeShawn "Proof" Holton funeral (MBA Newsphoto, Hollywood, CA), Laurel Schmidt (CBS Pirate Master) and a list of hundreds of other portfolio work and events.
